A bad lightening storm came up earlier. Lightening hit the neighbor's internet, tv, and phone lines. It blew out 2 of the channels on our router, but the other 2 are fine, and the wifi is working. Of course, one of the lines that blew out, was one my computer was connected to. The box is insured, so Frontier is sending a new one.
 
Perchie, I gotta agree with you. Another artists POV also. My own sight lines focus just above the bottom curly que and then travel up to the upper curl. I like the heart crystal but that would be knockout with a dark stone also.

98 degrees here. 46% humidity. Our AC isn't keeping up. It's 83 in the house with 44% humidity. :th I have three fans going on the chickens and have been going out frequently to check water. I feel for them. I tried to mist them down yesterday but that was too much like a bath and they would have nothing to do with it. They are just laying around in front of the fans and have dug holes in the shade in the run to lay in. My poor little broody should start hatching eggs today sometime. I think she deserves a medal.

I don't know about them but I'm ready for this heat to break. The heat index is 110 right now and the Northeast Missouri fair is in full swing this week. I just can't believe they expect the 4H kids to stress their animals by showing them during the hottest stretch of summer.

We have been making slow progress on our building project due to the heat. Our siding was delivered yesterday along with insulation. We got a window removed and covered with strand board. I think that is the problem with having a few mild summers/winters in a row. You tend to get a bit complacent and then mother nature sits on your head and reminds you who really is in charge.
 
My opinion also as well as most of the 4H moms I've talked to. One shows chickens/goats and she just ranted about the bad judgement of having to exhibit animals in typical mid July Missouri heat. They turned big dairy house fans on their animals but still you have to wonder about the long term stress damage that is done to the animals.

I just went out and gave my birds fresh water and a bowl of blemished tomatoes to munch on. They are all vying for 'who gets closest to the fan' in both of the coops.

I use big 2.5 gallon cat litter jugs to water my birds. Usually I fill them up the night before and leave them for water changes the next morning. By then the water is nice and chilled for them. This morning I left a jug in the smaller run and went back just now to use it. Couldn't. It was hotter than the water that comes out of our faucet.

Still they appreciated the tomatoes. The weather has been so wonky here 80% of my tomatoes have blossom end rot going on them. Sigh. So much for planting resistant plants. At least the chickens love them.

Ya'd think I'd learn.......:hit

I think everyone has a different way that they view... human nature tends to go in a triangle.

There is a small black bead sitting on top of the heart.... LOL. But I have several stones that could go in there. The design was an accident... I doubt If I could repeat it... but I may try. Once the wire is hammered that metal is very very hard to bend again.

I need more crystals like the One I have in there... similar in size... In different colors.

WE used to live in Vegas... 110-120 was not uncommon. Every one told my mom that she couldnt grow tomatoes. She planted them along the fence in full shade... Figured she might get one or two ...

We had tomatoes coming out of our ears.... Shade and watering at night... And they grew year round... Big ole beefsteaks grew about six feet tall. as tall as the fence.

Here we all water our lawns in the evening or early mornging before the heat. Keeps the water from cooking the grass.

Its cruel and unnusual punishment to hold a hhorse show Where you have to wear a wool jacket in the dead of summer.... Ratchatcher and all. But we kids wanted to be there wanted to compete...
