I assume DD is the old DW, and there's no way I'm letting (much less convincing) my DH evaluate ME for issues. And why does the new model get the hook-up changes? Doesn't the old model deserve some variety, as well? THAT may have negated the need for a new model in itself. I'm afraid that getting an island, and a second sink will STILL not make it worthwhile for anyone, especially if all the new one does is sit in the hall and block the closet.

Have another place to put it for now, and can use the insides for storage I think. THe extras I rarely use in the kitchen.

Wisher, I have no idea who laid it, but I'm guessing it's the first egg from one of your girls. It wasn't laid in a nesting box, and it's pullet sized. I also had the flash on, which bleached out all the colors, as you can see from the other eggs, but look at this beauty:

In keeping with the theme that all things this week are crap - I now need to go outside to clean up my goat. I wanted to finish the eggs first, for sanitary reasons. Caramel, my goat, has had an abscess since I got her, which has been a few months. It hasn't changed in size, shape, color or firmness and the guy I bought her from thinks it is from one of her shots. Anyway, Caramel was fine earlier, but the abscess decided (what looks like) about an hour ago that it would be a great time to burst.

And then I'm taking some sedatives and heading off to bed.

Well, looking at that egg, I'd say that not ALL things this week are crap, that is very nice! Did you keep a solid black or black with red in her neck and feathered leggs? That looks like a full BCM to me! I thought the only one you kept was the little EE looking pullet. That egg is a surprise! I was really expecting a green egg.......

My broker called with an update; my offer has been discussed with the sellers, but they are in transit somewhere and won't have the actual paperwork to review until tomorrow. They did say there is a Perc Test (viability for septic) report for the property, plus a topography map with boundaries clearly marked. Y'see, all that PVC pipe running up hill and down dale was for a "Christmas Tree Farm" originally planned but which didn't get off the ground. Err, into the ground, I guess.

Uh huh. ;)

My broker said I should steel myself for a counter offer, possibly Monday evening. My contractor friend said to compile a list of the necessary work on the cabin and shed he discovered as well as an articulate summary of "how much usable land is really available.". (To counter any possible "Repairs? You're really just buying land" argument.)

It's all good, thus far. :weee
