Hummingbirds are toughies. My sister said they battle over the feeders and while one is being chased another takes it's place. Sounds like "bee" havior.

Humming birds are so amazing to me. I do love to watch them. We have honeysuckle growing that they love.
I would rather they eat that than put up feeders. I may plant so.e cape honeysuckle for them also.

We woke up to this in our dining room this morning!

Dh threw it in the pasture. He's my hero!

We love the hummingbirds that show-up each year. We have 3 feeders that form a triangle with about 25 feet between 2 of them and about 8 feet between the other. There does seem to be quite a bit of "sparring" to "protect" the feeder they think is theirs.
The hummers love the red cannas that I plant each year specifically for them and visit the other flowers when they are blooming throughout the summer.

There are lots of vines in the woods to feed them but i like to see them up close. I was holding the feeder to hang it back in the tree one day when a female came right up and drank out of it while i was still holding it!
