The Old Folks Home

No plans here. Still taking it easy and trying to get rehydrated and my strength back. Going to town this AM then home. They are calling for 1 to 2 inches of rain over the weekend.

Ravyn, I can see it now. Paint the ceiling red and my psycho bantam cockerels would be flying up, bashing their little heads into it trying to kill hat evil red ceiling!:lau but that would solve the problem wouldn't it?

Maybe you could sell your bantam cockerels - offer them as "snack size." Don't think I would call them psycho though - might scare off some folks. The way that term is bandied about in the news- some might think it is a 'bad' thing.

wait a second I went out to watch bad tv let the dog sleep in lap and all hay breaks loose here and I have only been getting 1 or 2 eggs a day out of 8 hens
It is the season for lower egg production!

It's that time of week, who has weekend plans?

Tomorrow I am picking a friend up at the airport, and she wants to learn to quilt.

I gotta get the winter prep going - all the gardens need to be pulled up and trimmed back, wood brought in...
This weekend I will bake some bread and try out a recipe for lavender lemon short bread cookies

I am going to make french bread today give the flat loaf in the freezer to birds
@ronott1 see I was spoiled by my barred rock they lay every day no matter what but when add that hatchery thing they can be mean as all get out

I have that now with the pita pintas they are winter layers. The one in my avatar is laying still--I suspect some molting soon but she is 3 now and still laying very well
