The Old Folks Home

The touch screen is just so convenient. I told my husband that I would seriously like a regular monitor with a touch screen.

The only problem, is don't try to use a touch screen when you are eating buttered popcorn...:sick
Haven't had a laptop in awhile, last one died. Just got a cheap used Samsung chrome book online, didn't think I'd like it cause it's not really a laptop, kinda but smaller and no frills, I love it. DW has not let the kids use it at all ever, says the games they play bugged up our laptop. So happy no kids touch it, our laptop without a touch screen was always crapped up screen, why they always had to rub their dirty little fingers all over the screen IDK, clean it, next time nasty again...Why do they touch the screen!?

Guineas will clear the ticks out in no time. Just saying.

I have a flock of guineas... and while the ticks are significantly down, they're never going to be gone. I have 4.4 acres, in the woods. There's no way 9 guineas and X chickens are going to take care of that.

Morning all. Woke up to clouds and wind. I think they are calling for the rain to start this afternoon so it is going to be a good inside project weekend here.

I started downloading books when we were doing 3-4 trips every two weeks to IL moving and getting the business building and house ready to sell. It was more convenient carrying a notepad computer than toting books back and forth. I don't read nearly as much as I used to, just mainly before falling asleep at night. I still have books by the hundreds but with the tablet, I can lay in bed and read and not bother DH since I have them set to show white print on a black page.

It really is amazing the grunge that you get on the screens though. If you think your hands are really clean, use a touch screen and then look at it at the end of the day. It will gross you out fersure.

We have 13 acres, almost all wooded. So we are in the same boat:highfive:

It is 44 this morning which is cold for use. High for today says 70. Next week lows will be in the 50s with Highs in the mid 80s.

No rain in the extended forecast--some clouds next weekend

Weekend plans? Too many. Sweet potatoes need to come out and garlic needs to go in. The closets in the remodel finally got installed, so moving back into the master bedroom...that's all the furniture and everything. And it's lockdown for a dozen eggs on Sunday!
I am off to work on stage two of sourdough bread!
