Same here. Been a long time, oldest out of school, youngest just started, five of them. We recently have a day during the week no kids, going shopping with no kids...crazy...
First time, she says lets go eat lunch at....
Nah, too $$
She says, will be cheaper than taking the minions to McDonald's....
Lets go!!
I kinda feel guilty, hanging out like teenagers, what about the kid's?

Not sure... maybe 4 or 5 inches? Enough that getting to the car in my summer shoes resulted in a bit of snow on my feet. blah.

Kids were a little disappointed. ... snow isn't icy enough to sled fast and not wet enough to make snowmen.

The outhouse quilt does not have a recipient yet. It was supposed to be an "I Love Home" block of the month to use up scrap but I decided I Love Home was way too "floofy" for my taste and Amphetamine Squirrel said let's do outhouses instead in the middle and Dsqard drew them up for us... so the 3 of us are doing outhouses instead.

The good news is my giant tom in the basement is finally standing and went back out to the coop this morning. Turken 1.0 isn't doing as good - her crop is broken. She's been sick since Thursday and hasn't pooped or eaten or drank in the last 24 hours. I gave her a total of 6 mls of vegetable oil, plus 100 mg docusate and a bunch of massaging. Not helping.

You're right, the I Love Home quilt is not nearly as great as the outhouses. Great job with the art work, Dsqard!

I think I've mentioned the two-seater outhouse at my grandparents NE farm before. Memories...
