Glad you were finally able to get/try (and like) Wendy's chili... I haven't had it in many, many years due to past experiences but maybe I'll give it a try next time I stop there. As for their frostys... IMHO they leave a LOT to be desired... But who knows, maybe you'll find them acceptable. I guess a lot of folks like them. I prefer a real ice cream shop and a real milk shake (or frappe if you prefer).

Perhaps buying a new pair of boots would prove cheaper? Or just buy some felt and cut out your own?

The liners are like an inner bootie, not just a flat piece of felt on the bottom. But it could be done if you could find felt thick enough.

We are having a hard time finding winter boots. Walmart got them now but they are expensive. Hoping they go on sale.

Yeah, last time I went to buy boots I discovered everything Wally World has was for girly girls with high heals and lots of chain bangley thingies that I can just see the chickens having a hay day with. Not to mention the practicality of high stiletto heels in a chicken run......

I finally went to TSC and bought a pair of Ariat lace ups high ankle boots. They don't make a fashion statement but they keep my feet out of the muck.

Don't laugh, try your local farm stores.

This may sound funny. I have to see a podiatrist due to ....well, deformed feet, lucky me. I have to use thick arch supports and rather than selling me pair after pair to fit my boots and shoes, she just gives me a sheet of this material that looks something like thick felt carpet pad. I mean this stuff is dense, and I cut my own..

May be find some carpet padding and make your own liners? Might be worth a try and how much can a square yard of carpet padding cost?

felt is awesome stuff. good felt that is.... conforms to surfaces taking up irregularities in both.

I don't do much ice cream anymore. The soft stuff doesn't always agree...and the hard ice cream usually makes the skin crack on my hands...lol. But we might share...lol.

Buying a new pair might be cheaper...lol. Seems wasteful. I should've been more on the ball earlier in the year. Felt may be a choice.

speaking as a fast food pro.... justa bout all chains will have off menu items.... Jack in the box will sell eggs any style as long as it can be cooked on a griddle.... I get three eggs scrambled every once and a while Ala carte price under two bucks.... not too shabby. and they are fresh cracked eggs not eggs from a bag.

just google off menue items from your favorite fast food restaurant.... You will be surprised.

The big thing up here this year was all the fast food places making breakfast all day. I'm not sure if they're still doing it. I'm spoiled with our own eggs now. I love the breakfast all day idea though. Breakfast is always good!

That would make two inserts. You can also go to a shoe repair person and he may have exactly what you need as well as be able to shape it to you and your boots....

The place I was the other day didn't have any and didn't have some of the stores of our city. These are the boots I'm looking for the liners for.


These are what we all wear for farm winter boots...the cheapest version. Dh bought a more expensive pair a couple of years ago thinking they'd last several years instead of a few. They came apart instead of wearing out...lol.

Yeah, we call them Muck boots here for obvious reasons. I have a pair without liners. In fact they are the only boots my broken toe is tolerating right now. I have to go to one of our Amish neighbor's shops in a few days and buy BOSS for my birds. He sells Muck Boots also. I'll ask him if he knows where the liners can be found. Amazing what they can find.

I greatly dislike when the muck gets frozen to the boot...only to thaw onto the floor.
And Dh questions my penchant for cardboard. It's a thirsty floor saver.
