Ok, I got some Powerflex..a copycat like Arielle was talking about. It's really wide.so, I can cut in half..and get more for the money. $1.99 a roll.
4" x 5 yrds. I got a neutral color, so the other chickens won't pick at them..like the RIR's would let them.

Hope they aren't allergic to laytex..nice big warning that this product contain rubber laytex.

Guess it could happen. ?

She loved her spa hour. I'd bring her in and could just leave her there, and she'd preen herself and then just watch the house. The cats were interested for the first few minutes, and then they'd just go sleep somewhere. I have to warn you though, there's something about warm water that makes biddies have InstaPoo. I always put down a paper towel right under their butt. It was always necessary.
BF would come down to the kitchen and feed her grapes and mealworms while she soaked, too. Bet she thought she was the queen. She died not too long ago.

Ha ha, I just love that last photo of the leghorn! Tooo cute. Just standing there, waiting for her towel after she's done.

Thanks for all of the photos SCG, very helpful. Cutting that tape like that looks like it would make it a lot easier than wrapping it around like I was. Probably a lot more comfy for the chicken.

Glad the photos helped. I'm a visual person - I like to see it done before I attempt it, when possible. Once we got the cut method down for the wrap, life was good.

It really does. And, out of all of the chickens I've ever owned in the 3 and a half years of owning them, the leghorn has to be my favorite. Haven't had a mean one yet, in fact, just the opposite. Always right there, under foot, on my lap, at the back door. Here's my last one I had my DH tale a photo of just last week.

Me and my chicken, chicken friends..versus my, people chicken friends. Have a few photos of them too. That is Miss Piggy up on my lap. I name all of my leghorns Miss Piggy...the 2nd..3rd...............They can eat! And, love to eat! What's this about saving money on feed if you own leghorns? lol
