The Old Folks Home

OK SCG... so we have pissed and possibly pissed on, and working in the rain, and the replacement sitting on your chicken table then discussion about painting a crack after allusion to possible homicide... There must be more to the story... I need closure here!

Did the offending spigot get changed out successfully? Or is there one lucky plumber in your area due to receive his first born son's weight in gold for 20 minutes work?

ETA: Hope everyone has a safe & enjoyable Thanksgiving.

I agree, Happy Thanksgiving, and did @superchemicalgirl need help digging a hole...say 7x3 and 10 feet deep?

:fl for successful hunting for BF and spigot replacement.

I am thankful today that I have ducks. They are at least laying eggs when all the other freeloaders can't be bothered. Every recipe has gone like this so far, today:

Reads recipe
2 eggs, huh?
Looks at paltry chicken eggs in fridge
Runs out to duck coop
SCORE!

Rinse and repeat.

I am counting myself blessed that some of my chickens have "come back on line" after a molt. Most of them are 2- or 3-year-old Barred Rocks. BR's have been some of my most reliable layers in the past, but I wasn't sure these older gals would be able to get it back in gear before the Spring. I'm not drowning in eggs, of course, but there are enough eggs for what I want to do.
