If Accuweather is accurate (and I have no idea!) we've seen the worst of the cold for this winter. Only looking at a few days of single digit below 0°F. Pretty unusual to have the super negative temps in Dec and very early January rather than the end of January and early February.

Got up this morning to no Internet. Spent 30 minutes on the phone trying to get through to a human being at Hughes (highest rated for customer service my hind end!). Finally gave up. We ran our own self diagnostics and it kept coming back to it being their problem. Finally, about 11:30 everything popped back on line. DH said maybe they had satellite problems I said I doubted it. If one decided to come down, it'd hit our house for sure just due to bad odds.

Really makes you realize how dependent we all are on the web.

I have to reboot our cable modem sometimes. Last week twice in one day. I think the cable internet provider makes us do that when they reset after working in our area

Tried hughes net back like 10 years ago.. guy came out set it all up said it would be great .. kept loosing signals hhhmmm tech comes out said no good to many trees have to take all those down ... ummm NO take your stuff down
