The Old Folks Home

The old "Dark Shadows," after school vampire soap opera had the lowest budget. The walls were cardboard and would move around with the breeze, the actors flubbed their lines often. Guess they didn't have teleprompters way back then. I would watch after I got home from high school. It was so campy and pretty much scary with werewolves, vampires, witches, warlocks, a Phoenix and assorted others.

Oh, did i mention i went to check the garden today and my plants are still alive! I thought for sure they would die in that cold snap even though i covered them.

I covered mine, too. With about 3 feet of snow. Pretty sure they're not alive.

Dog has been scratching a lot lately made the area on her head behind her ear all raw and weepy.

fleas? ear mites? Sensitive skin?

:hugs I hate it when the animals don't hand us a cue card... ya know, something like "I have fleas, the best med for me would be x" :old

Snow is a great insulator, you never know!
Maybe triple antibiotic on the weepy bit, as i am sure you know.

She had fleas when we got her. She immediately got a dose of Frontline and they died. She went to the vet a few days later they flea combed and declared her flea free.
That's been 2 weeks.
Dry skin?

@superchemicalgirl Dogs with floppy ears will often have trouble since no air, light, etc can get there. Look into her ears. She may be scratching behind her ear trying to get to the itch. Poor baby, she doesn't know how to get relief. Gently cleaning inside may help.
I hope some one with more experience with floppy eared dogs will chime in.
