Tracphones $10 a gig no plan no other fee. I use data sparingly.
Use it all day with Wi-Fi at home, and at work free (jacked the secret code )
No cell service home so no sense in fancy plans though I wouldn't mind the unlimited data, just not feasible for using at work, only time I have service besides shopping occasionally, and DW doesn't let me play on my phone when shopping or out to dinner Lol!
Can use Wi-Fi to call and text also at no charge.

Dh is my hero tonight. I have a bunch of medical tests in the morning, so I ordered a late supper from Cracker Barrel. He went to get it for me. When he started to turn into our drive, he saw a coyote coming out of our yard, and it was headed out our drive. When he turned in, the coyote turned around, and headed back to our place, and ran into the back yard towards the coop. Dh jumped out of the car, set the food down, grabbed the rifle, and a flashlight, then headed towards the coop. I was shocked, because he's usually squeamish about killing animals. It was gone when he got out there, but he was willing to protect my chickens, so for tonight, he's my hero.

wow he does get the big star for tonight !!!

You forgot to mention the freezing rains and sleet that will come before the snow! We are looking at > 7" of snow starting ~ 11 PM Saturday. 50°F and blowing like stink and raining at the moment. The alpacas are out seeing what they can find to eat since the snow has melted other than in places where it was blown to (by me).

It's a nasty 3 degrees here this morning. No snow in the forecast until Sunday. Like everyone else I'm tired of the cold.

I don't know how it is wherever but here January and February are months when the coyotes breed. I haven't heard them howling yet but the dogs have been restless in the late evenings, wanting in and out about every 30 minutes. So the yotes may be starting to get active.

My dog is in season but no pups for her until she is 2 and gets her hips checked.
But it sure perks up my old boy Charlie.

Hi everyone
Well, I'm playing catchup again soooooooooo,
agree about MS. Hate 10 too but so far I've been able to fix whatever they throw at me. Inventory? Let's see. One new old stock high powered desktop (bought a few years ago, barely touched), one nice touchscreen laptop (both running 10 now), 2 kindle fire HD 10's, versions 1 and 2. Finally got my old 8 away from DH and gave him the first 10 when his OS became too outdated to run the new casino games he wanted to play. Like Beercan, my cell is a Tracfone. DH's was so old they sent him a new one free because they no longer supported G2. Mine is a smartphone but I rarely do anything on it because again like BC we can rarely get even one bar at home. I pay $18 and change every 3 months for voice and data and because of the rollover my accumulated minutes are well over a thousand. My Fire is my best friend. I am a prime member of course. DH loves all the free games, there are so many things we just would not have access to w/o Amazon and I would have to live another lifetime to get thru all my books in my cloud library.

Weather? Same as you folks. We were supposed to be in the bullseye of the storm yesterday but it mostly missed us thankfully. Temps were up close to freezing for a while in the am yesterday, so it rained before the snow. A ton of rain on top of frozen ground, never fun, tho we got just enough to flood a section of the enclosed area between the coop and greenhouse. I had to deal with that fast as the temps were dropping all day and zero temps this morning guaranteed an ice rink. Well at least we had almost three whole days in the high 20's that let us get things done like a good coop clean out. Back to normal today. The high is supposed to be +6 but I don't think we'll make it.
Well, no matter what temp (or windchill) still have to scoop the poop so I better get out there.
