too much cold for me also!! But I hate winter less than I hate heat (anything over 75F) and high humidity

1same here Diva. We didn't get above 10 F today and supposed to be back below zero for the high tomorrow. I think they got tired of putting up the windchill warnings and are just doing "ditto". At least it's not warm enough to get ice and the snow we're getting is super fluffy so the shoveling is easy. My chooks are not thrilled however. They just glare at me when I open the coop and want nothing to do with their usual tummy rubs.

You can get someone with costco membership to buy a costco gift card for you. You can get in and shop using the card and no membership

We took Ma and she gave us cash she did not have a membership anymore

Costco, not a option here. Just looked them up, 112mi 2h or 160mi 2h 45m.
We do have a Sam's Club 44mi 47m, I've never been in it, tried one time many yrs ago, was pretty funny. DW's family had a membership cause of the bakery for flour and yeast in bulk (they've been getting it cheaper elsewhere now for yrs). There was a Country Buffet next door and we, me and dw and her mom and younger brother (a teen at the time) were there, they, the girls, were done and wanted to shop, I'm not done yet, meet you up there, had a couple more big plates with bil, then headed over to Sam's Club.
My wife and his mom's in there, didn't care wouldn't let us in.
Lol! I can get us in, lets go in the exit next time we see someone come out.
Went in the exit, was stopped asked for our card, explained my wife and his mom have one and they're both in here, and no go, kicked our butts out, Lol. (this was before cellphones) had to wait out in the car... would've ate another plate or two in air conditioning if I knew we'd be setting out in the sun in a parking lot 95*
Sam's Club has better security then our southern border Lol

Beer Can we have a Sam's club for now, unless they decide to close it. Anyone can come in to get prescriptions filled or have lunch without having a membership card. You can also ask for a day pass but, you have to pay 10% more on any items you buy.

I sure liked our old Country Buffet till it closed. Then we had a succession of 3, yes 3 different Sushi places that rented the building. They all failed quickly. I can't believe folks were dumb enough to rent it when the same thing already failed.

It's currently rented out but not as a restaurant. I can't remember just what, it will probably fail anyway. Too many strip malls and people are getting sick of them.

They didn't come to run the lines today, but are coming tomorrow. 10 POE ethernet cables, and 6 speaker cables run, along with speakers mounted, and channeling for the outside POE wires on the house, and 1 they have to bury going to the pump house. I won't be here, but Dh will. I'm going out to eat with my cousin.

scg, you might consider building a small covered package/mail drop-off shed. That way they could leave your packages in a safer area, and it would be protected.

Living truly off grid is illegal in most states, but there are a few exceptions. Some states will permit it when you've applied for all the land clearing, building, well, power permits, but living in a temporary structure while waiting for all of it to get done. I understand, to some degree, why the laws are in place, but they need to be updated some.

So mail truck threw my package on the side of my driveway since they couldn't get up. I laughed, stopped the car, got out, tried to get the package and get back into the car when the car started sliding down the driveway. Tried to jump in, slipped, fell and almost got run over by my car.

Yes, this happened to me 2 years ago, also.

Need to stop doing that.

We don't have a Costco any where near us. I heard they built one in Montgomery.
We used to shop at Sam's in T-town tii we found a cash and carry plus 10 percent. They have meat quality like Sam's so we shop there now for our meat. We still have to shop a Wally world for the rest of our groceries. They are so much higher than other stores would be. It's a shame.
I miss the chain stores with the weekly sale add and competitive prices.
