The Old Folks Home

Beautiful beautiful appliances. Don't you just love that moment when your refrigerator is sparkling new and you just HATE to put anything in it because you just know that something is going to tip over and spill sooner or later and it will no longer be sparkling new anymore?

Same with your stove. First time you bake a pie and suspect it is going to bubble over you will be taking all sorts of precautions and just weep when that first drop of blueberry filling bubbles over onto the rack.

Just got off the phone with the docs nursing manager. Told him about my back. He said, ummmmm. doctor is at one of the satellite offices today (about a 40 minute drive from us.) You WILL be there at 2.:he I was on my feet all day yesterday doing groceries and today I can hardly walk and feel like S-------you know. I'm hoping it isn't an infection in a back facet joint but may be. Fearful worse case scenario is from what I can google with symptoms, a compression fracture....God I hope not. Wish me luck everyone and a few prayers.
Hugs Micro. Hope it is fixable with a shot. I am going to call the drs office tomorrow to be seen. I have had a headache for 3 days and pills aren't helping. Thinking sinus infection again.

Unfortunately this is a chronic problem that has flared and worsened. I've lived with back pain most of my life. It has worsened over the past 5 or 6 years.
Sorry Micro, hubby is the same. He had to have emergency surgery on his neck and a titanium plate put in. Its a mess and he just lifts stuff any ways.

sharp knives are dulled by the dishwasher detergent. I never put them in. Pens in the dishwasher? Oh My!
I wrecked more than one load of laundry with a pen in the washer/dryer. in my scrubs pocket...

We do not use the dishwasher, it is here but just three of us how often
would there be a load I cook, bake... do dishes as I go along.. the son will
also take and do them if I am still up to my elbows ..... We just do not produce enough
to warrant running it
Our countertop dishwasher is great, hubby runs it daily.

Just got back from the doctors. He couldn't do too much manipulation. I thought I had injured my back on the right side but he traced the injury to the left. My pelvis was an inch higher on the left than right and he said my right side was compensating and overcompensating for the left side. He did some adjustments to relieve part of the pain but wound up giving me a shot of steroids and having me take it easy and go back on Tuesday to work on me some more.

God I feel old.......:old
Hugs, hatch some chicks. It will take your mind off your woes.

There are remedies for that Beer ;)

How old is this book smart, no common sense daughter? MAYBE she's more sly than you think. If she keeps screwing up, you might just take her off the HORRENDOUSLY difficult and time consuming task of loading the dishwasher and washing those things that don't go inside.
13,
You just got me thinking....maybe I've been 'hoodwinked'... she also can't put dishes where they belong. How can you mess up the silverware drawer? You have been getting them out of there for yrs, not rocket science. She says 'what's it matter'... Pots and pans, baking sheets, what's up with them being all over the place. If I need a plastic container for leftovers, or for work, like a treasure hunt, and then to find the top...
Ever watch 'Full Metal Jacket'? I'll be going full Gunnery Sergeant Hartman next time.
I think I made the mistake of saying once that I didn't want her doing the dishes anymore...
Now I'm thinking back when I was a kid, 12 or so, supposed to mow the acre mostly uphill lawn with a little push mower. Take the spark plug out, tap the electrodes together, doesn't run, mom couldn't get it to start either, yanked the heck out of that rope.
Dad gets home from work starts right up first pull.
I couldn't get it to start dad, ask mom she tried, so mad he mows the lawn himself.
( I was no dummy, took the spark plug back out and straightened it before he got home, knew he would check the spark eventually )
Maybe dd#2 isn't as dumb as I think she is, maybe the 'apple doesn't fall far from the tree' :he
Had it so easy with our oldest.

Got up to put eye moisturizer drops in my eyes. Meds drying me out so I thought I would do a quick check in.

@CapricornFarm! :hugsPrayers sent. Think BENIGN!

Thanks you everyone for your support. I'm feeling a bit better tonight. The pain has died down about 50% and I'm not wanting to 'run away' from the spasms and discomfort tonight. If you have suffered from pain that is spiking to the '9' rating you know what I am talking about. You want to get up and keep moving even though moving is painful.

I can live without that.

I have so many friends here on BYC that I worry about. Please be well everyone.

PS eggs in incubator are on day 15/16 and looking good. Going to do a final candling on Saturday night and put them into lock down on Sunday morning. They may hatch on day 20.
