The Old Folks Home

Every 2" that is crazy! Dh did buy 2 plugs! WHOOTT!!! :wee
I wondered why my new coffee pot had such a short cord. Crazy!

Penny I'll bet your house smells good! :drool

Ron and Bruce you keep telling me it will take time maybe weeks. I really don't want to hear that. But I know your right. :th
We had to wait for counter mistakes to be fixed. They kept sending the wrong things and then we had to wait for the correct counter pieces to come in. I hope that does not happen to you but there are often things that happen when things are installed

:fl I hope it all goes smoothly for you!

Oh yeah, those porcelain on cast sinks weigh a TON! I built a 4 legged scrap 2x4 support for mine (wall hung with legs in front if you recall the picture). One of the electricians helped me get the sink into it and positioned near the wall. From there I could position the wall brackets and get the legs to about the right height and put them under the sink. Of course I then had to partially dismantle the support to get it out from under the sink. I rebuilt it and it is out in the barn as a support for the broody buster box, conveniently the right size with no plan to be so.

You guys are going to be so jazzed when you finally get your kitchens done. I'm so excited for you. I know it's a pain eating out of crock pots and toaster ovens (we always stock up on Banquet meat pies for such an occasion) but I can well imagine the smiles on your faces when you finally stand in the middle of your finished kitchens and smile.

Here we don't have building codes to deal with but when DH wired the place he used GCI or is it CGI...plugs wherever there was any water source near by or where there was a chance of moisture. We also use circuit protector power strips and our TVs and computers are protected by an independent power source in the event of a power failure. Yeah, we take it seriously.

Here has been my project for the day. A second brooder for my hopefully 4 babies due to hatch the first of the week. I felt good enough today to work on it and stay within the parameters of my activity restrictions and time was running out. All things considered, I don't think it turned out too bad. Now I wipe out the inside, add chips and turn it over to DH for the heat lamp to be set up.

The week continues to meet expectations of crap. I now have to work tomorrow. The snow compacted today and was like concrete trying to get rid of it. I did a D- job... and the ground started to thaw again so if you've never hit 2 inches of chicken sludge with a snowblower and aerosolized it, you have no idea what you're missing. Almost lost my lunch.
