The Old Folks Home

I used to be ;). Would love to just let go and eat what I want but the calories really mount up fast for me. Can't exercise like I used to so I walk a lot. Still, when you eat with the amount of activity you do in mind you find yourself eating less to accommodate. Dad could eat anything without it showing up in his lab work, Mom was the opposite. I tend to hit the mid line.
Fit bit has a great free website. I bought the one that hangs around your neck... longish and has several functions.

Website once you put in your statistics Height weight age... Gender. It will give you how many calories you need to just maintain.... Then it gives you how many calories you burn just to maintain.. Then it shows how many calories you burned just by activity during the day based on your steps.. and compares them.

And it has a great food catalog.

Wow cap your cranking out the cages this year. Looks great!
I have a growing family of critters! My juvenile quail are being shipped Monday! I should have this latest cage done by the time they get here. I went out and worked on it tonight. Its a bit crooked, but working for speed not precision right now. I cut out the wood for the doors and painted it tonight. Once i staple the rest of the wire on, and make the doors i will be almost done. We are supposed to get snow tomorrow, up to 4". I may be working in the workshop.

Gaining 40 pounds on a pregnancy isn't all that bad. Saw some gain over 70 and then were devastated because they didn't loose it all after they had the baby. It was like....duh.

Hardware cloth had to be made by somebody who was into torture. I never come away with less than three punctures whenever I work with it. If I had to build a whole coop with the stuff I'd just leave the walls open and put out pointers for the predators to follow. This way to free chicken dinner......
Really, i rarely have issues with it? But like i said , my skin is pretty thick on my palms and soles of my feet. Of course i don't use my feet making cages!:gig

I can't be sad when holding a bunny!

Got the top done for my Veterans PTSD charity done. Someone has volunteered to quilt it, so I don't have to do that part of it. It's sitting on top of the backing, so it does look a little weird and uneven (wanted to make sure I had enough overlap before I declared I was done).

The quilt will be auctioned off, with the proceeds to the PTSD treatment program.

Ok, headed off to work. Y'all have a fantastic day. The dog is still snoring, now in front of the stove on her bed... she slept most of the day yesterday after our walk, woke up for about an hour last night to play with a squeaky toy, then snored on the bathroom rug all night until I forced her to get up at 0500 to do the chores with me.

A tired puppy is a happy momma.

I bet she's going to want to do the 4+ mile walk again this afternoon.

I hope Cap has told the bunnies that Easter is coming early this year 4-1-18, they should start painting eggs.
Yes, they are a bit sloppy on the stripes but are getting to be very good at making dots. Said dots make great garden fertilizer!:lau
