The Old Folks Home

I had to drive to the "big city" post office to get mine.

I left the form on my door today, signed, but BF's mom got here before UPS did, thought it was a new slip and brought it inside for me.

However, she did do my dishes, took care of the dog and the baby chick... so I'll let it slide.
why is she hanging out so much lately?

Is this a good thing? Or a bad one?

One of the bigger fights was getting Social Security to resurrect my grandmother after they killed her. They can't accept ID, because it belongs to a dead person. It took about 4 months, but they finally brought her back to life.

When she really died, we sent a certified copy, docket stamps and all, into Social Security. They weren't falling for it a second time. They had resurrected her, and she was going to stay that way. It took us a year before they finally killed her again. The fist thing they wanted back was all the Social Security payments that had been made between the time she really died, and when they killed her. Good thing we knew to keep them. We sent them into them.

While everyone on this thread is more experienced than I am, and usually know a lot more than I do, one of the two most common problems with chicks involves the need for extra vitamins (wry neck, weakness, etc.), and the second is the need for Corid (coccidiosis) at times. When I hatch, I automatically add a little Rooster Booster to the waterer. This compensates, and gives a little extra oomph in case the feed is not quite as fresh from the feed store, lacking full potency. Another thing, even if they don't eat much for whatever reason, they still require the nutrition, so I ensure they are getting some through their water. I do this for about 3 weeks, then go to plain water. I've never had to treat with Corid, but I've got it on hand just in case.
