Misty must have a huge "file cabinet" of images to post. I couldn't find that many good ones if I spent all day on it!

And, sadly, the start of the fuel for the next set of wildfires.


My Dad visited once in August, he'd lived only in So. Cal and Oregon generally SW of Portland. He was surprised the grass was green since I don't water it. Most years we get enough rain to keep it green and in "drought" years, often there is enough morning dew to keep it alive if not growing much.

Our yard is 3 acres we keep up and cut. The rest we leave for the cows.
There is no way we can water 3 acres.
I do water some of the trees if the look stressed.

We do not water the lawn here either, garden yes if we go more than a few days without enough rain
