The Old Folks Home

Like a cartoon my husband had under the glass on his office desk. It was a man standing buck naked in front of the eye chart. The doctor looks at him and says 'I take it you have never had your eyes examined before.'

Just came in. Have a pen ready fr the new birds so they can be outside. One of the problems with kennel panels is that young birds can just pop right through when they want to. Tomorrow I plan to clean the coop and move their grow out pen out there so they can get used to being around other chickens. I can put them outside on nice days until they get big enough not to get through the fence.

It actually feels like spring today. 56 degrees and sunshine. I hear people out mowing lawns already.....silly people. Who is in a hurry to do that?

:yuckyuck

It is good getting them out of the house!

Yeah, it's time. The only thing that has been holding back progress is the weather. Event though they are feathered out I can't bring myself to toss them out when the night temps are still dipping down in the 20s.

Looks like this last bout of cold weather is the last of it. More moderate and normal temps in the future forecast.
