The Old Folks Home

Love that picture. Wouldn't have guessed a goose would park on someone's shoulder, must be hard to balance.

What fabulous movie were you subjected to?

yeah, she looks like a goose in that photo doesn't she? She is a muscovy duck.

We saw inside out.

It was free movie day at the theater.

I like the crunchy seeds.
Fenced in my entire garden for the chickens, except for the row that I planted. Must be around 80x100' now. Used mostly cheap bird netting, said a good prayer so they should be safe from predators.
Giving them a week or two to peck and scratch and make it weed free and fertilized. Then I'm going to rototill it all up and hopefully they'll get all the bad bugs/vine borrers etc.

Now you have a big pet! A house Duck!

Nooooooooooo house ducks! She went back out after that photo... her feet were warmed up, and she wasn't shivering.

Should I make Jelly from the black berries in the Freezer?

I am picking up a pellet BBQ from Home Depot and need to decide what to BBQ or Smoke this weekend

Have fun Quilting!

U like jam too... what is the difference between jam and preserves?

BBQ EVERYTHING! :ya

Still looks like it would be hard to balance. DW saw some Muscovys in a yard on her way home the other day. Didn't know what they were, just that they weren't a wild type. We figured it out from pictures.

We really like our muscovy. Super smart (when compared to chickens :lau ).

I have been wanting to do that... but it is such a production to move mine over..... blah, blah, blah. I do love it though, when the chickens get to clean out the garden.

Jam is the whole fruit and can have small pieces. Preserves are bigger pieces or whole fruit in them.

I find it hard to spread preserves on my toast so make jam instead or Jelly sometimes

If the Jelly turns out, I might enter a jar in the fair this year
