Jam is the whole fruit and can have small pieces. Preserves are bigger pieces or whole fruit in them.

I find it hard to spread preserves on my toast so make jam instead or Jelly sometimes

If the Jelly turns out, I might enter a jar in the fair this year

I have been wanting to do that... but it is such a production to move mine over..... blah, blah, blah. I do love it though, when the chickens get to clean out the garden.

If only I could convince my girls to do it! They can go in any time they like (though I guess that will have to stop) and they hardly go in at all. I guess they have too many other areas to scratch bugs and growing stuff.

We really like our muscovy. Super smart (when compared to chickens ).

I am sure! but I haven't had guineas myself. my great aunt had some... she could NOT get them trained to coop up at night.

My muscovy are easily trained, and REMEMBER. Which can be bad when you take their babies away.... they remember and stay ticked off about it.

Me either but I've not seen anyone who has post about how smart they are, quite the contrary. Like going over a fence and not being able to figure out how to get back, yep geniuses!
