The Old Folks Home

Nooooo, that was 300 dollars for two tires. Had to get extra heavy duty due to our roads. Can you believe that? 300 dollars for two tires! In some ways that's probably cheap.
OK, yeah $150/tire isn't cheap. But you can go a lot higher. MIL and FIL bought a 2018 Prius in January. He just turned 93 and wanted some of the safety features. Did not like the stock tires (somewhat low profile) so he replaced them at 300 miles with some model of Michelin.

We were at their house Sun for MIL's Bday (a mere 85) and he said he wanted to sell the Yokohama BluEarth OEMs so I set them up a Craig's List account. Both the dealer and the tire place said he might get $50 each. Then I went to Tire Rack to see what they cost new. $227 EACH!!!!!:thHe decided on asking $125/tire. Someone will be getting quite a deal at a price I wouldn't want to pay. I think I paid about $85/tire last month for DW's new summer tires.

Some tires last many yrs and are worth the $$.
Maybe 16yrs ago? I had a '93 Subaru Justy, little clown car, 3 cylinder 5 speed, 40-50mpg. Had 12" tires, went to Wal-Mart the guy laughed at me said there was no such thing as 12" tires and check the atv section. Idiot Geo Metros had them also and I have a car in the parking lot with them.
Went to a garage they ordered me a set $18ea for all seasons.
