The Old Folks Home

SCG are all the bees supposed to be sitting at the ready on top of the box? Makes me think of an aircraft carrier and they are ready to launch.

Hiving them so poured the bees on top. They go right down.

the only honey used here is the Son he will when I make corn bread he likes honey on it but does not use it otherwise

You don't have to harvest the honey. If they didn't make it I would still have them. Fascinating to watch and improves my garden yeild.

Some of you have probably seen this. This is my dad & his pride and joy. His J3 Piper Cub. He loved that little plane. Sold it 60yrs ago to buy my mom a wedding ring. I looked up the planes N# & found its still airworthy & still living in San Diego. I don't know where exactly, but I'd love to see it now. View attachment 1384715
You know.... He looks like my dad at that age.... Dad Loved his airplane as well. Dads was a bi Plane with fabric....wings and fuselage.

If you know the number on the plane you can track it down.

Good to hear from you, @perchie,girl. I was thinking about you also the other day and wondering how you were doing. Glad to hear that you are hanging in there. :hugs

@Latestarter, thank you for your service to our country. Love looking at the pictures.

My husband served in Korea during the Viet Nam war in Army Intelligence. He was in the ASA and got his start in electronics while he was there.

My dad served prior to WWII in the calvary/veterinary service. He rode in the US Army equestian show team, did Roman riding/jumping and also served as an honor guard twice during Roosevelts inauguration.

My brother served in Viet Nam in the army. He survived the ordeal but it did a number on him emotionally. I don't think anybody can withstand such an ordeal without it changing them forever.

Cloudy here this morning and looks like rain. Naturally, DH mowed the back yard and part of the field so it has to rain on it right away and make it grown.

Also did a full tour aboard the USS John F Kennedy, CV67. Built from the keel up to be a nuke but changed back to conventional power at the last second to save some $$. Decommed in 2007 and sitting rusting in the Philadelphia shipyard last I knew.

I joined her in the Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, VA in late 1979 when she was finishing a major yard overhaul. I did a full Med deployment and full Indian Ocean deployment on her before leaving her in late 1981.
