The Old Folks Home

Sunny and bright today - going up to 80. Knocked down the beginings of a wasp nest, and sprayed it well and the one wasp that was with. You have to check everyday..If you catch them in the beginning much much easier to deal with. Sometimes they try to re-build 2 or 3 times, but I am ready for them.
Sometimes what we do is spray , knock it down, burn. And if I run out of wasp spray,I use hair spray or Pam(baking spray) when I'm in a pinch

Not going to spray wasp spray in the barn. I have chicks in there. I will just knock them down and smush them.

I use a hard nozzle on my nose to knock them down from under the roof. They end up going somewhere else. We decided to give the wasp traps a try this year too. They work! Put a piece of bologna in there, they go right in.
