Mom used to wait till dark then whack the nest down with a broom handle. then show me the babies inside in their various stages.... The throw it in a coffee can with a lid and throw it in the trash can.

Course wasps here may be different. But she did that back when my son was about four to show him the nest....

No stings no attacks.

Dad I recall would pour gas on them in a coffee can then burn them also boy that goes back years
