The Old Folks Home

Quick!!!! I need sanctuary, witness protection program, ANYTHING!! Just hide me!!!!

Just got a call from the IRS, they have discovered fraud on my income tax return. They know I am hiding this fraud, he said so!!!!

:gig:lau

 slime.
Did you run to Walmart to get a money order for the penalty?

:gig

Oh, I wouldn't do that, I'd have DW get one from her P.O.. Not that there is an employee discount but it would save me a trip to Walmart.

I actually don't know what the scam was going to be. I let the answering machine pick up the unknown number. Picked up the phone and hung up soon as I heard what was going on.

Maybe I should have used @Blooie's "you have reached the IRS fraud department" line and see what they said. Of course it was probably a robo, not sure if there would be a human to speak to.

chicka, nice looking grapes. I bet they're delicious.

micro, I did that with my girls growing up. We'd usually do it on a weekend with Star Trek, Star Wars, when a bit older Anne of Green Gables, Terminator. We usually had a great time, and sometimes they'd invite friends over too.

I always did that with my kids on the weekends. We would go pick out a stack of movies take home pizzas or a bag full of burgers candy and drinks. Half the neighborhood would spend the weekends. Pool and movies.

Will you guys adopt me? Almost raised, no bad habits, well except for the chicken addiction. Potty trained, can feed self and doesn't eat much.:lau DH is up for adoption also. Neither of us did that with our parents......mainly because TV went off the air at midnight and there were no VHS or no digital movies to down load. No tape recorders of any type. We girls had our slumber parties and the guys had camp outs but no all night movie binges.

Kids today sure do have it good.

I sympathize with the unpacking boxes thing - had finally got through most of the stuff from Dad's house, and came home last week with a horse trailer full of furniture and boxes from Mom's. And have not even touched it yet. Or in the near future, in all likelihood.

When some of my family was staying with me a few years ago we put the kids on the sofa bed in the living room. Everyone had gone to bed except me and the kids. When I got up to leave they all looked at me like they would have to turn in. I said, "I'm not your mom. Stay up as late as you want" and off I went. And they did. :D

Next weekend, I'm buying the groceries, so Dh and I can go on a diet. It's a pretty easy diet, and works really well. My stepson lost over 100 lbs. on it, and he doesn't have any saggy skin, or that haggard look that so many get when they lose so much weight. His mother lost 55 lbs. on it, and looks good too. Yes, it takes some time to lose that much, but like I said, it's not a hard to do diet, and you don't starve. Dh needs to take off at least 50 lbs.

I could stand to lose an even hunert... Care to share this diet that doesn't leave one looking haggard or with loose skin? Could that NOT happening be tied to youth? I'm no longer young... Oh, and as an aside, it would also be a good thing if it didn't leave me starving and feeling "empty"... :fl
