The Old Folks Home

Things did change here after Dad died about 5 or 6 years later she met then 20 years later married Wayne who had 3 children also as old as we all where no issue there it is
I am friends with his kids all my cousins are Wisconsin or Minnesota as we travel I will look them up

Here is a pick of sneaky mom

View attachment 1481514 kids said that there are way more under her... and yes, she is a Leghorn. Cross between a dark brown and white leghorn.
They call them Pyle, I almost bred some but only the roosters are perty IMHO on that cross, bet she lays good. Goes to show you never know who'll go broody huh?

Yep!

In my bantam coop the Ameraucana have no interest in going broody, but my 2 bantam Rhode Island Red are stuck like glue to that nest box.

I have another leghorn in the chicken coop that has been broody for over a month! Last week I caved... and gave her eggs that had already started developing... (those bantams were on top of too many). I think she has 1 week to go...

She is the same Leghorn cross as the sneaky Leghorn that just hatched out chicks in the duck coop... dark brown Leghorn dad over white Leghorn mom.
