I am still washing a lot by hand as it doesn't do pots and pans very well, and takes a very long time. Iusually use the wash cycle which actually means NO drying time included. WTH??? I just open the door when cycle is done and let it air dry a few minutes. About 30 minutes. OTher cycles are 90-120 minutes. If the point is to really save electricity well it is a colossal failre. ALl the water used to prewash every thing and the pots and pans by handsheesh. my old machine blew thru everything ini 1 hour and ususally the pots and pans were good, though mac and cheese was a problem. GIve it a scrub and back in again solved that problem.

Hey, guys, rally all your prayer warriors and ask them to pray for my dad and family. My dad (91) is in the hospital. He has pneumonia and a UTI. My normally kind, loving, gentle daddy is frantic and belligerent and out of his head. He always does this when he is in the hospital and I know it is temporary, but it is still hard on our family. He called me a liar and cussed me yesterday. I will not ever tell him because it would break his heart if he knew he did that and he would never forgive himself.

YOu have my prayers and your dad and family too.

Infections can make the elderly really, really confused. I know it's hard for you, but imagine how scared he is.

my father was the complete opposite, every day he punctuated his sentences to me with " F" this and "F" that and on and on, sometimes with other major obscenities thrown in. I was his sole caretaker for years after mom died. He daily threatened he'd have the police throw my ughly, fat asp in the street.

Whenever he started talking softly and politely I knew he was really feeling sick, and would be back in the hospital. I could judge how fast he was improving by his speech and aggressive behavior.

Aww wisher. Your dad is not thinking right for sure. He loves you, you know it. I've worked in Assisted Home Living before and have seen this many a time. It hurts the family members so much to see them like this. I'm praying for you and yours.
