Got the lawn mowed then BF's stepdad passed, so we're on to other things. Just went and got their trash to take to dump and will do some cooking for family coming in.

SCG how's Ripley doing?
She's good. She starts obedience school on Monday because while she's polite at home, she's an enormous jerk in public. Yesterday she was passed out hard on the couch, half hanging off when she let some very loud gas out. It scared her so hard she fell all the way off the couch.

Gravity is not kind to a bloodhound. Apparently loud farts are also unkind.

:hugs

I am sorry for your loss!

Will your BFs Mom keep the kids?

My Brinsea came though for me again. While I'm not thrilled at the prospect of brooding chicks again, I'm so glad I found the abandoned chick and brought the rest inside to hatch. Much pleasanter brooding than burying.

I think I got a ringer in with this bunch. The little chipmunk guy asleep in the center is about half again the size of the other three.I'm wondering if I stuffed a Welly cross egg under my broody accidentally, although all 4 eggs were light golden brown so I dunno. No speckles should mean not Welly. Maybe it's just a big chick. It was the first one hatched that I rescued.

Now to finish building my new brooder so I can move them out of the house.

@CapricornFarm, your building virus is catching!

Hubby was asking me today, how many of these things are you building? I need to get the quail out of the brooders, as many as it takes. Just temporary until i sell them.
