The Old Folks Home

I think a smaller needle helps to.

Reusable needles are pretty fat... add in some dullness and I don't think it can do anything but hurt.
And don't forget the ones with small barbs!

The moral of this story is, embezzlers unless the amount of money stolen is quite high, generally get off with a pretty light slap on the wrist.
I would consider $50K plenty high to have the perp spend a few years in jail.

Ok, I'm a pharmacist and what the hell are reusable needles?
I worked at a vet's in HS and college. They had reusable needles and yes an autoclave to sterilize them.

Isn't it the polio one that leaves that dime sized scar?
OK we have figured out that is the small pox vaccine. Something must have changed by the time my sisters and I got ours, no scar.

I just smiled sweetly and couldn't resist telling him 'told ya so!'
Did you also mention that he owes you for the vaccine you told him wouldn't do anything?

I did not have vaccines as a child Ma was single mother by the time I was there she was working two jobs just to get by she got a raise when she cold cocked the old man sperm bank drug him out the door.. but I did not have the normal vaccines when I was headed
over seas they said I needed to have some but that smallpox was not a worry

So... the needles were probably from 1920? 1940? They weren't rusty... they were well cared for.... just large bore and not sharp.

Back in the primitive era :old of sterilizable needles and glass syringes. I remember them, but I'm old.

sour, I remember them too, because that's what there was. My cousins were diabetics, and had to use them. The doctors used them. While the disposables are much better, every once in awhile you can still get some that have not been cut properly by the machines, and have barbs on them.

I worked in a veterinary clinic in the mid 50's through the early 60's, and one of my jobs was checking for burred needles and sterilizing needles and syringes.

Polio was a sugar cube! My kind of vaccine!

:love
They came out with the sugar cube in 61.... maybe thats why I dont remember the polio shot. I got all my vaccinations when i was in Las vegas... So I wanna say eight or nine years old?
