The Old Folks Home

My neighbor's, kinda new but they've owned their place longer than we but didn't move here permanent until last Dec, who have the trespassing chickens, the wife brought me some yellow zucchini back a few weeks ago. Said she saw their chickens in our garden and didn't know if they might have damaged anything. They didn't but I was greatful for the zucchini, ours died off awhile ago. Pretty funny, I had a weird feeling maybe she had been on BYC and read my post on here. I doubt it, but gave me a weird feeling. Lol.
It is possible!

Looking at seeds for next yr, came across rat-tail radish, serpent radish, or tail-pod radish, they actually grow them for the pods. Look just like my giant radish pods.
Burmese rat tail radish.

Also found a scam company I never heard of, Jack Seeds, established in 1859 in the USA. They have varieties I never heard of.

I knew what you meant lol. I eat all my sandwiches on toast, ham sandwiches or whatever. Had people at work ask me about it, I don't like store bought white bread, all DW usually buys. Once in awhile I get good hearty have to bite into it bread. I don't like sandwiches on store bought cheap white bread, mushy, sticks to your teeth, makes a terrible sandwich especially if you add tomatoes or lettuce. Toast it and I'm ok with it sorta. I love my FIL's sour rye bread, and onion rye bread. MIL says 'he works it to much, makes it tough'
That's what I like about it. Good hearty crusty bread. They had a wholesale bakery going for a few decades but recently retired.

Actually, I read somewhere that you CAN grow square watermelon... You place it (the melon) in a square container as it grows and it will conform to the container shape.
Yup, and that's where they got the pics from I'm sure, the other's are photo shopped. Lots of bad reviews on them, they sometimes send seeds but not what was advertised. Saw another scam company recently called Tmart, kinda a play on Wal-Mart I think, all sorts of stuff for sale, cheaper than Amazon or Wal-Mart etc, bad bad reviews on them also, (also a China scam company I think)
