And the eldest is now GONE! And #2 just told me that he is considering running off for the spring semester!

Dang, you might have to buy a splitter.

Got about 20 burials in that small cemetery (10 known stones from the transcription project in the 1950s). Will start work on it next spring.

Looks like the first big project will be getting the stones out of the ground.

DH and I spent the afternoon doing some target shooting until the neighbors and two of their young sons walked down to see us. They told us that they are thinking of moving to upper Wisconsin. They are originally from there then moved to N Dakota then down here. They said that they weren't handling the hot summers very well with their solar power and were missing the snow in the winter. Sigh. Half the snow we experienced in IL per year was one of the big draws to us moving here. Young people, I told them to give themselves 25 more years and the snow would become an enemy that they must conquer and destroy.

Man I hate the thought of breaking in new neighbors. Hopefully it will be down the line a bit. I gave them 6 roosters for freezer camp in the spring. Seems as though one of them got loose and took up residency in the timber for awhile. They would hear him crow and get a glimpse of him but he wily little brat survived. Their rooster turned mean so they butchered him instead and now my boy is king of the flock. I'm happy for him.

It's 78 degrees here today. I'm thinking of putting on some shorts but once the sun starts to go down it will cool off fast. Sept. went by way too fast. But then I think 2018 has been a blur anyway.

I only eat pbj on toast, also like to fry it sometimes for breakfast, sorta a PB&J Monte Cristo, dip it in egg and fry the sandwich and put maple syrup on it. Is it stuffed french toast, is it a monte cristo? IDK? But it's good

New neighbors are a pain!

My neighbor's, kinda new but they've owned their place longer than we but didn't move here permanent until last Dec, who have the trespassing chickens, the wife brought me some yellow zucchini back a few weeks ago. Said she saw their chickens in our garden and didn't know if they might have damaged anything. They didn't but I was greatful for the zucchini, ours died off awhile ago. Pretty funny, I had a weird feeling maybe she had been on BYC and read my post on here. I doubt it, but gave me a weird feeling. Lol.
