The Old Folks Home

Good morning! To be a sunny and warmish (60-ish degree) day today. Cold fronts are moving in. We're not going to have a white Chirstmas, but chance of snow for possibly three days starting Christmas night. It shouldn't be much, but every little bit helps.

Nice full moon last night. I guess to make up for the shortest day of the year. Looking forward to longer days and possibly some eggs (hopefully not months away.) The chickens are taking a nice long sabbatical from egg production and just lazing about and getting fat on their winter treats.

This weekend is going to be a zoo for anyone having to do any sort of shopping. Good luck with that!

Morning all. I just had a whole post disappear. Strange.

I wrap very few gifts anymore. DH and I do a sort of 12 days of Christmas where we buy gifts for one another and present the box to the recipient when we bring it into the house.

Yeah, lazy but we save a bundle on wrapping paper.

Anybody else poed at Joann fabrics?

I got a 10 $ coupon from them but it's only good for in store purchases. No store near us! Not happy with them. I'll still buy from them but I'm done with their promotions and coupons.

I had a pleasant surprise a few days ago. Somebody presented me with these beautiful pastel green eggs. I suspect it was my Fayoumi hen, Farrah.

Anyone have fun weekend plans?
Nope.

With a 4 wheeler plow the kids could plow in a pinch (with about 8 hours of work. -hack- ) but they COULD easily clean up the parking lots and corners on the drive.
Does the 4 wheeler have the mass to push heavy snow???
When you get the plow, make sure to tell the boys they aren't allowed to use it. You might get them to do it a few times before they figure out it is their new job.

Hi guys....Miss me? Tee hee.:ya

Needed to give myself time to grieve and the hole in my heart to heal. Feeling better now and wanted to stop by to see how everyone was.
Of course we did!!!! Glad you are recovering, it does take time.
