Quad runners are fun! Thanks Diva, trust me I am. Yesterday was the first day that I felt like being up on my feet. I got the house cleaned up and spent some time with the chooks when I let them out. I'm feeling some better yet today. The improvement is so gradual tho. I am at the point where I am afraid to go out in public without a R95 mask though. I told my husband last night that I thought I was handling my loss of independence quite nicely considering my personality in general.
I even admitted I would be willing to sell my two dirt bikes and switch over to a 4 wheel ATV. He admitted it was probably a good idea. I have no desire to turn into a statistic regarding breaking a hip that is already damaged by OA.
Please don't tell me that! Last year was over 50% more precip than normal!Ugh...it is still raining !And it's projected to be one the wettest Januarys ever.
Just another example of what idiots are in charge in hospitals.Hey, I have a GREAT idea! Let's work all our nurses into an early grave and endanger the patients at the same time, 2 birds with one stone. Yep, brilliant plan.
It is easier to tell the "boss" where to go when you only have a week to go.![]()
The two youngest granddaughters scared the crap out of us yesterday. They wanted to play outside with their walki-talkis. I have one inside, and was listening. After a little bit, I heard a man's voice on the walki-talki. I looked at my husband, and he didn't have one. He said that someone must be on the same frequency. While he was saying that, I looked at the monitor, and didn't see them. (We have a surveillance system). I ran out the door, with their mother right behind me. Nope, they were NOT in the yard.
The little stinkers had walked all the way down the driveway to the neighbor's house, that has the dogs. They're professional dog trainers. They were in the yard with the dogs, when the kids came up. They tried using one of the walki-talkies, but didn't know how, so they were headed into the house to call on the phone, when they saw my daughter headed down the drive towards them. The kids, and dogs played a bit, then my daughter talked with them, and let them know that unless an adult was with them, they were to play in the yard. The only time they are to leave our yard, is with Mommy, Grandma, or Grandpa. I'm glad she didn't overreact, but firmly got her point across to them.
