Anyone have fun weekend plans?
Dropping DD1 at Mt. Allison in the morning!
Left VT a bit late yesterday. DD1 and DW were SUPPOSED to renew DD's car registration Wednesday. They forgot. So instead of heading east from home we had to go 25 miles south. Cost us a good hour.

Finally made it to the hotel in Maine about 6 PM, then met a lovely BYCer for dinner. Yes @superchemicalgirl is as fun in person as she is here. Good thing we didn't meet at her place though because I'm sure she would have found a way to sneak those goats she kept offering to pawn off on us into the car somehow ;)

In St. John, New Brunswick now. Got DD a bank account and a phone. Took 1.5 hours to get the phone, not so easy to get a contract phone in Canada without Canadian residency. But the guy at the store and the guy on the phone managed to get it worked out. Lots of diligence there. Dinner at Taste of Egypt got rack of lamb again, there was no question what *I* wanted when we walked in the door :D

Heading to Sackville about 9 AM.

cottage cheese with raspberry jam in it
I put jam in cottage cheese quite often also, strawberry jam usually. Sometimes add some granola cereal, or what ever cereal we have.
Mentioned to a milk truck driver that comes in at work that I mostly prefer it plain, nothing on it. He said he grew up eating it and his parents always thin sliced up onion with it, still ate it that way. (We snag some for the drivers that like it quite often)
Never tried it with onion, think I had a pile of it every night on my dinner plate that week lol, very good.

should get a grain grinder -- actually, I may have one stashed somewhere, hmmm -- as homemade tortillas are the bomb, but it's just so much easier to buy masa flour.
Yes definitely, and we have been. But store bought is way less protein, nutrients/vitamins/antioxidants.
Plan on making some masa myself, a batch with calcium hydroxide (pickling lime) and for the heck of it experiment with wood ashes.
Was planning on just getting a cheap Chinese grinder ($20-$30) but then seen wallyworld just started having the Estrella online a LOT cheaper than I've seen it before (think it was $40?). Works pretty good, ground a lot of stuff with it, even super hard chaga mushroom. Coffee beans also,

Kind stomp my foot do not bring up grinding have enough on my plate had rebuilt two extra large boxes from home depot have sold my incubators to a member in Coulee City only about 75 miles they wanted 70.00 to send the big box.... Hello 2 incubators
went back to home depot bought another extra large box 2.48 almost same size at post office 6.45 NO WAY now have two great boxes only 10 inches tall 20 x 20 incubators are 18 1/2 x 18 1/2 but just 10 inches tall

There is a Sackville in NS too!

Bruce, I'm certain that "lovely" is really the best way to describe me.

I tried to be on my least worst behavior.

And you have a great family. I could see the love and the laughter.

...However, it was clearly missing something that would make it complete.

I'm hopeful to get a quilt on the frame today, likely not start stitching til tomorrow. I'm out of chicken food and likely also going to see Aquaman. When Angel got back from 8 days in the hospital the only thing she wanted to talk about was how my BF sucked because he hadn't bought her the DVD of Aquaman yet. The fact that it is still out in theatres and not yet available on DVD was too difficult for her to understand. I have zero desire to see Aquaman but I do believe that's on my agenda for today.
