The Old Folks Home

Don't know what the going rate is now but I can remember in 1999 my mom got a transfusion. 1000$ per bag o blood. I remember working OB scrub and learning that a pack of sterilized 4X4s 8 to a pack was something like 100$ and that was back in the mid 1970s.

Boggles the mind to imagine what those prices are in 2019.
 
I lost my last bantam this morning. She succumbed to wounds from a bobcat attack.....and makes her the 13th chicken I've lost in six months. But the culprit didn't get away this time. 20190109_082547.jpg

One of my Uncles had one that he killed stuffed. It was very impressive to me when I was growing up

Good deal. Glad you got the rascal. Sorry you lost so many chickens. I ran over what looked to be a young one a few nights ago. It was just a flash and a thump.
