I have toppled off the computer chair several times, thankfully with no major issues.

I noticed the ice first and Ripley second - my immediate thoughts were "how does Ripley navigate that ice pond with such skinny legs - no boots

Also: reminded me I was supposed to buy more ice melter Sunday and forgot.

Hi everyone. The sun is out here for the first time in I don't know how long. Birds are handling the single digit and below zero temps we have been having.

I survived them too but am SOOOOOO ready for spring. Everything here this morning is glazed with 'glass' after the two days of ice we enjoyed here.

Still getting used to only two dogs underfoot. So strange after so many years of having 5 pooches around. The brother and sister pair are doing well though and have acclimated a lot better than we have to the changes in life.

I survived my latest doctor's appointment. I'm up to 37 pills a day now....oh well, that which does not kill us makes us stronger. Over and above a definite sensitivity to cold, I'm doing better physically so I'm hoping the worst is behind me now. I'll know that for sure when I see the Rheumy in two weeks. And yes, I'm getting a better grip on the changes life is handing me. Got to talk to old friends from our working days last night and discovered they are dealing with the same stresses that we are. She broke both bones in her forearm and he is considering retirement....and has gout. They are like DH and I were, a husband doc with wife office manager working together. They had also lost their dog to old age recently.

It made me feel a lot better after talking to them. Hope you are all feeling well, surviving the winter and like me looking forward to spring.

Have great fun with my pills do not take a huge amount but thyroid pill 1 hour before food cannot take certain pills like my D with it take them after dinner heart blood pressure pills can .. but made two batches of cookies Peanut butter and chocolate chipView attachment 1667682 View attachment 1667682View attachment 1667685

I made sugar cookies when the Grandkids were here, and they had fun decorating them.

never knew you could plant tulips so late but our weather is way different than yours.

8.1F above 0 but, we'll be getting worse temps as the days go on.

Had a bad time yesterday - my heart palpitations came back. Haven't had that bother me since mid 90's. Had it a lot then. Dr. was listening with stethoscope . I said "You must be hearing that." He shook his head. I had a test for it I think called EEG, neg. and some other kind - neg.

It's all in the mind - guess related to anxiety . Mind is a powerful thing. Sometimes breathing into a paper bag helps but, I was in bed and no paper bags around. Took some slow deep breaths and let it out slowly till things calmed down. Just surprised how long I have gone without it and now it's back.
