The Old Folks Home

I take 2 pills a day, that work in conjunction with each other. They're not to help me feel good, but they help keep me alive.

I checked on the last 2 eggs, and they were duds, so I tossed them. Total count is 10 chicks.

Yesterday was "Fair Day" for all the students in our county. The schools were closed, and each student got a free ticket for admission. That's just how I wanted to spend my day off, from helping my neighbor at the fair. The ride wrist bands were $35.00 per person. $175.00 for the 5 of us, and no discount for smaller children. They did have a LOT of rides for the younger kids though. I don't know how I managed, but I kept up with the 3 grands, and their mom. We walked our tail feathers off. When we got home, the kids, and I went to bed. Their mom went to soak her aches away in the tub.

I have discovered I need to buy some decent, comfortable shoes. My tennis shoes are old, and falling apart. They are not comfortable anymore, and with them breaking down, they don't give the back, and leg support like they should.

Dh was headed to work, and his car overheated again. He was on his way to work when it happened. He was NOT a happy camper about it. He's ordered the parts to, hopefully, get it fixed. I need to get ahold of my mechanic too, because he's also having some transmission problems. It's something simple to fix, he thinks, but he's too big, and too old to get under the car to fix it himself.

never knew you could plant tulips so late but our weather is way different than yours.

We don't get enough cooling weather for tulips, so they just peter out here; they are pretty much a "this year only" show. They have to be put in a refrigerator for a certain number of weeks to get them to bloom, regardless, so they can be "forced" to bloom in pots at pretty much any time when it isn't scorching hot.

Micro, every time I see your avatar, I am reminded of this:

I said "You must be hearing that." He shook his head. I had a test for it I think called EEG, neg. and some other kind - neg.
We you feeling it when you were at the doctor's office?
I doubt it is all in your head.

My grandmother pulled hers every year and stored them in the refrigerator for whatever the necessary time is. So. Cal. I recall my grandfather having a very nice flower and vegetable back yard, the "lawn" was just a small piece in the middle. I guess my grandmother must not have had too many bulbs, only so much room in the fridge.

When Verizon ran our new fios line, they cut across the corner of our neighbors property line because they didn't want to run it through the ditch, or through the culvert. Shame on them. Our neighbor is putting up more fence, because Amazon, and USPS when they leave his place, they cut across the drive, instead of going all the way out to the road and turning back in to our driveway. He cut our cable. Dh went to look at it, and the neighbor told him Verizon was not authorized to run the cable on his property. He's also putting in a barbed wire fence. I told Dh the neighbor was 100 percent in the right. It's his property, and he can do whatever he wants to on it. Dh is upset about the fence being barbed wire. He mentioned the grands getting all cut up on it. My kids were raised with barbed wire fences on the lake property, and did fine. He just can't understand how I'm siding with the neighbor. Like I told him, we can do whatever we want on our property, and the neighbors have no right to tell us what to do, or run their cables on our property. They have the same rights on their property too, and I'll respect that.

They have the same rights on their property too, and I'll respect that.

What they can do on their property depends on a lot of things. Our property came with a variety of right-of-ways and easements of x number of feet from the property lines for utilities, etc. There is a dirt road behind our property that at some places is entirely on our property (in some places, the property markers are several feet on the other side of this road), but it is still within the easement so we have nothing to say. Our property does not actually have frontage on the road that our mailbox stands on and which is our address; you have to cut across a corner of a neighbor's property to get onto our property. Because our property has always been accessed in this way, the neighbor is legally barred from putting up a fence or any other impediment to our crossing his property to get to ours.

You didn't say how many feet back from the road the fios line is; depending on where the right-of-ways are, they may not have needed your neighbor's permission to install the line there. As to the barbed wire, your county/city probably has restrictions regarding how or where that sort of fencing can be used. HOA's may be the worst for getting all up in your business about what you do on your property, but they aren't the only ones!

Had a bad time yesterday - my heart palpitations came back. Haven't had that bother me since mid 90's. Had it a lot then. Dr. was listening with stethoscope . I said "You must be hearing that." He shook his head. I had a test for it I think called EEG, neg. and some other kind - neg.

It's all in the mind - guess related to anxiety . Mind is a powerful thing. Sometimes breathing into a paper bag helps but, I was in bed and no paper bags around. Took some slow deep breaths and let it out slowly till things calmed down. Just surprised how long I have gone without it and now it's back.

Tachycardia girl I have it also extra rhythms keep a bag close if it helps, barn had a limb fall on it but this can be fixed warm and dry here this is what we woke to

Between the weather and some unfriendliness (NOT here) I am enjoying sleep a lot more than usual . Upstairs is warm and Saturdays are low key. Just have to convince myself to go outside and check the mail. Yesterday a truck blocked things and I didn't get any mail but, maybe I wasn't getting any period. :idunno
