The Old Folks Home

I'm on dog time. They are my alarm clock. I think they are dawn-activated as I haven't missed many sunrises. I recently received a coffee mug that says, "My dogs are the reason I get up every day. Really freakin' early...every. single. day."

DH, on the other hand, must be logged in to hibernating bear time. That man can sleep! Definitely NOT a morning person.

I still don't see how it's possible to save that much energy with daylight savings time. Maybe in Germany, it did. That doesn't mean it had the same effect here.
It likely does not save anything here any more. The world is different now due to lighting and 24 hour production

DH is a morning person, I'm not. Worked too many 2nd shifts during my career. now I still get a second wind about 8 pm only I make myself got to bed by 9:30 or 10PM at the latest so I can get up by 7.

DH still knows not to ask me anything important till I've had my first cup of coffee or noon, whichever comes first.

Woke up with my right knee killing me. :rant bleeping gout! Doc warned me that I would suffer if I overdid it, not from strained muscles but from the allopurinal breaking down the purine crystals around my joints. Still made it into town for groceries and to drop off the taxes. Just couldn't kneel or step up or down on my right leg. I still have half of my Iris bed to dig up and replant before the rain hits this afternoon late. Hopefully DH will help me with it.

Do you take anything for the gout?
