Can't have candy. no jelly beans no coconut cream stuffed yummies no Cadbury eggs. What's the point? No wait I can have chocolate as long it's one of the chocolates that is high in cacao ad semi sweet and I don't eat too much of it. Not eat too much chocolate? Is that even possible?

I think you are SOL on that chocolate chicken then. Considering it is a pound and the price, it is unlikely to be high quality.

I know it will not really replace the one you lost BUT, it isn't adding to the number of animals you have.

Spent the dawn hours drenching the apple orchard in Captain Jack's Dead Bug Brew (Take THAT, coddling moths!) and general yard work. Seemed like a full day of labor before my first cup of coffee at 9:00 a.m.
The hummingbirds are back! They were supposed to arrive April 15th, but we had some nasty weather the past day or so that waylaid them. I was watering the lilacs this morning and one hovered in front of my face and chirped at me. Probably saying the feeders weren't up yet (since remedied), but I'd like to think it was a cheery "Hello." What a great way to start the day!

Ours are back too!

I have my first badge coming up in December. 5 years.How time flies when you are having fun and learning at the same time!

Pups woke me up at 6:30 staging an escape from the utility room. They broke the security gate which was about 30 years old to start with if not older so it was past it's prime. Didn't go to sleep until around 11 so I'm a bit blurry eyed yet. I envy them their energy so early in the morning.

Not much going on today. Fayoumi chicks are ready to be moved out to the brooder room. We need to bring in more wood to split, make bread. Same stuff different day.
