The Old Folks Home

Penny it will take till Dec.29,2020 to get a 5 yr. badge. The Dec. this year will only be 2019 (4 years) I don't know if they give them for 5 yrs anyway.
Whaaaaat?

:hit

I've been anticipating a 5 year badge for well......5 years. Bummer.

Completely worn out. Planted about 20 gladiola bulbs, one lavender plant, two rows of pole beans, transplanted 5 squash and 2 tomato plants, two basil plants and I don't know how many Iris. I still have iris to break apart and transplant and containers to plant.

Then moved the brooder out to the brooder room. I have come to the conclusion that my Fayoumi chicks are so homely they are cute. I need to get a picture of them. They really are pretty ugly little birds. And being in that 3 week old molt stage isn't helping them be any cuter. I can tell for sure now that the chick that died was a pullet. Their breast feathers are coming in like Welsummers. The females are mottled and the cockerels are carmel colored. So hopefully I will have 4 pullets and 2 cockerels when these guys finally mature.

For you Micro your badge would come this December 2019 because it will be FIVE years to Dec,31,2019. But as I said to Penny, I don't know if there is a 5 yr. badge.
2019-2014=5.

same thing happens with days for hatching chickens.

Hence the set day this year generating hatches mostly on Friday and not Saturday during the hatchalong. I don't argue it but Micro will get the 5 year badge in December

You'd have somewhat less trouble house training the pups, IF you sent the female to me. Just trying to help you out.:yesss:
IIRC she's discovered that there are 2 females. Should she send both of them?

Thanks folks, I'd forgotten it was sneaking up on me. This site was super useful learning about chickens before and after I got my first 12 in June 2012.
