The Old Folks Home

We started back working on the firewood this morning. It's the first morning in 3 weeks that I've felt like doing it. We managed to get 5 large rounds done, now it's time to harvest more.

From there I did some garden work. Pulled my poor pea patch and got the onions hoed and weeded. I think I will have the peas for dinner tonight along with a small summer squash that I saw on one of my surviving plants. The rain hasn't been kind to area gardens at all although my container pole beans are going crazy.I'm hoping they keep it up because the container plants are about 5 times larger than the the plants that survived the flooding.

Pups are doing well. They still hate cats but other than that they are just fantastic little animals. DH went out in the pasture and mowed paths in the tall grass. Some of it is up to his head so mowing left a tunnel to walk in. We turned the pups loose and let them run the maze with us. They are ecstatic when we turn them loose. The two older dogs showed them that they could go into the tall grass when they wanted to and they do, only to bounce back out so they can run back to us with these big smiles on their muzzles. Yes, ACDs do smile!

More Domestic Goddess work this afternoon then out to shovel all the poop worth to scoop!

Good news on feeling better. Gout and the other things can be quite painful

You need guineas, now
Lol, I actually saw someone here has fertile eggs. Not sure how far from me they are, says Catskills Hudsen valley area, opposite side of the Castkills from me but if not too far I just might. They haven't responded back yet though. I really like guineas.

Fancy colored ones?

I am about to BBQ some burgers on the pellet BBQ! We will have corn with it tonight
Truck driver that comes in here got one of those Traeger pellet bbqs. Loves it and he has a couple big smokers. His is a regular one but I saw they have these, pretty cute lol.
