It has to do with the way the three mt. ranges come together. It creates an inversion layer that does not let the heat out. The temps go up for 3 to 4 days until the layer breaks and then the cycle starts up again. This usually happens in AugustI still think it is weird it gets so hot as far north as Redding, I never would have guessed it. I guess my cousin can handle it since she grew up in So. Cal.
It sounds like a busy retirement day!Well, no more raccoons in trap. Haven't checked this morning yet so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Our heat wave broke temporarily so I'm working like crazy trying to get caught up as I have chicks due to hatch today.
And we discovered that we have a lizard living in our hobby room. Well cripes. We keep seeing the little striped skink scurrying around and have no idea how he got in although we caught a toad in there the other day. Our hobby room is in the middle of the house and the only access is from either the living room or shop so we think maybe they got into the shop via an open door and made their way under the door that accesses the house.
Now I have to catch the cute little thing and release it. Easier said than done.
Another job added to the growing list.
You forgot to give an acceptable range of rainfall!I was wishing for rain, now it won't stop!
