I agree! Technology really is amazing. At first I thought they were real animals lol it’s so cool.

We had average temps for today for July, 92 F so I wanted to get stuff done!

We will be normal for the next 10 days-- highs in the mid to upper 90s I did see one 99 which could easily go over 100

They say the High desert should get around 104 ish.... My place is near Ocotillo which could easily get 110 or more

We did go just under 110 last summer. It is not as hot here as it is in Red Buff and Redding. I like it being a bit cooler normally here.

We had a shower briefly, so it cooled down to the 80s. This evening I was inside my used coop that was recently delivered, scraping off dried poo. I am looking forward to fixing it up and giving some of my chickens more space.

I still think it is weird it gets so hot as far north as Redding, I never would have guessed it. I guess my cousin can handle it since she grew up in So. Cal.

Twice here recently two different areas there has been Emus on the loose in the news and I dont think anyone claimed them.

Good news! Caught a raccoon! It was a juvenile. Too young and stupid to even be afraid of me. I almost felt sorry for it as it's a lot easier to off them when they are spitting and biting at you.....I said almost. Heading out now with the tractor to transport the remains out to the lower 40 for the vultures.

Since it was a juvenile I'll be setting the trap for awhile and making sure no siblings are around.

I hate doing it but it's us or them. I don't take too kindly to losing birds.
Still looking for the old movie Rascal, think the kids would like that one.
Its a Disney movie and they are supposed to be coming out with their own channel kinda like Netflix or Hulu with all their old movies. I hope so, can't watch any of their old stuff otherwise unless you have it on VHS from yrs ago.
