Ate grilled cheese made with cheesy bread for dinner tonight, crispy buttered browned pan fried bread with american cheese . Diet starts AGAIN tomorrow. Christmas and holidays pulled me off track.

Cynthia--((hugs)) prayers for your son.. Meds need time to work--give those antibiotics a few days to work.

TOo often now I am hearing the same story of people waiting too long to get medical help

My son isn't getting any better. He will need surgery to have some infection cleaned out of his hip and back. His white blood count is staying around the same, up yesterday, down a bit today. He is right now having a blood clot taken care of in his leg. I asked the ER dr. about a possible clot in his leg because it was so swollen. He says, no, infection. Hmmm..! Only three days to check for it and find it.

My son has been down lately. His social life has gone down, friends moving away. He has Spina Bifida.. doesn't get out when there is snow on the ground, his chair won't go too far in it. :/
He will take a while to heal. I've had to deal with these wound problems he has now. Front and back. They were healed when he moved out, then they became a problem again, went to a wound clinic, but not lately..he let it go. Not sure the colitis is getting better, he needed blood today.

I'm so sorry to hear this. It did sound like it could be a clot a few days ago, I'm surprised they didn't rule that out earlier.

Regardless, it's pretty easy to treat and prevent in the future. I'll keep my fingers crossed for the rest of it to heal quickly, or at least, quickly for him.

I'm so sorry to hear this. It did sound like it could be a clot a few days ago, I'm surprised they didn't rule that out earlier.

Regardless, it's pretty easy to treat and prevent in the future. I'll keep my fingers crossed for the rest of it to heal quickly, or at least, quickly for him.

Talked with him tonight..he sounded so much better than this morning. They couldn't put him to sleep to work on him, because he hadn't fasted for 24 hrs. He said they doped him up pretty good, then was sick this morning..but, his leg has gone down in swelling already. He couldn't bend his knee for a couple of days, he can today. He says it's much easier to move around. To transfer from the bed to his chair.

That bread looks great to me. Sooo, how did it taste? )
