Thanks everyone and wisher dh has been amazing the little stuff he does reminds me how amazing he truly is. After deciding my niece was coming to live with us without asking him he said not one word. When I got my head together I did talk talk to him about it and he was ok with it. My boss was supposed to give us 500 dollars for the honeymoon after discussing it last night he was ok with putting it towards funeral cost if we have to. God I love that man.

Looks like she wanted to be part of the retreat, too. Although... I have to say, I have a vivid enough imagination that I can smell those broody poops from here.


We're off soon to go look at more houses today with our friends. They're so nice and I'm demanding things like heating bills and pointing out major flaws in the houses. I might also be a little bit pushy.

I'm also majorly up to something so in the next few days I might share that with y'all as well.

Oh, and do turkey girls get really affectionate when they're about to lay eggs? I had one yesterday that kept crouching on the ground wherever she was and would let me get in her face and pet her. She didn't do the butt up thing like chickens do when they do the squat and you go to pet them. She seems normal this morning but I haven't been out since this morning.

You ~ up to something major???!! No! LOL..can't wait to hear what it is.

Phew it's been a long weekend and so much more to do tomorrow I'm dreading it. My dad passed away yesterday and me being the oldest competent child guess who gets to do all the paperwork/handling his finances. My niece he had custody of is now living with me still gotta figure exactly how all that's gonna work. Right now she is taking it well I'm not sure it's hit her yet. But both the girls have now decided they want to live on a farm and become farm girls. This is really funny because me and dh was discussing this the other day. This place will be paid off in another year and we can start saving for our dream farm lol.

NICE flock of utility Toulouse geese in the monastery the Vikings plundered....

Perhaps a bit more historically accurate than the Delaware chickens in the first episode?

Linda, you make me laugh when you talk about watching a TV show and all you can comment on is the chickens and geese in the show and historical accuracy.

Have to agree though, if they had Delawares on an episode that would be completely wrong but to them, a chicken is a chicken.

I don't watch TV. usually bores me ....except for football games.
BUT...I did READ a large book entitled "The Vikings" ( NOT the "football team" Ha-Ha ! )

After reading it...I gave it to a Norwegian Friend of Mine ( American ) who also enjoyed it.
( He happens to be a Minnesota Vikings football fan. Ha-Ha !!! )

The Vikings did a LOT of travelling (seafaring) between the 7th Century and the 11th Century.
They ALSO once conquered Rome (the Romans).

a VERY INTERESTING bunch of people...and "difficult to contend with".

I've very much enjoyed reading about them.
