SCG great job getting most of the hive together. Hard to believe all those pieces are needed to make it. Seems like they could have made some of the pieces larger and that would have taken you down to just 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle. Kudos to you and BF!

It was made by the Walter T Kelley Company, BF and myself. I glued and assembled all 50 frames, and primed the whole thing. I am going to dream about gluing little Lincoln Logs together. BF put together the boxes (because they HAVE to be square) and was in charge of the pneumatic nailer. He's going to have dreams about nailing all night (that was for you, Tick).

It still need to be painted, and probably 2 coats, and the foundation needs to be added (once the bees are closer to arriving)... but 8.5 hours later and the building of it is done. And so am I. Goodnight, folks.

Mmmmmmm . . . . . cheesecake is my favorite too.

SCG-- nice work!!! WIll you paint the traditional white color??

Survived a visit to MIL. Barely. SHe took the kids yesterday for an overnight but didn't have time for them as she needed to clean house to get ready for today. So the boys watched movies and played card games to entertain themselves. Too bad she did n't know they can vacuum and generally help out. Sorry, I get rather angry that she has no time for these grandchildren; clearly the others are her favorites. Too bad, she missing out on fun kids. I could have used there help here instead. THey jumped at wood chopping when they arrived home!! Too funny.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter, folks!

Grama had another brawl in the cafeteria of the old folks' home. Apparently she's fighting with some other biddy over this guy...there was an incident involving pushing and walkers.

You don't think I come by my charm accidentally, right? It's hereditary!!

In addition to watching newly hatched chicks - just took 3 more out of the incubator, leaving 3 wet ones inside to fluff up - I shall be re-building a wooden pantry shelf unit I put together two days ago. There wasn't enough glue included but I put it together anyway. Not good. The uprights slid a tad so one shelf already fell.

Found some Carpenter's glue and will be de- and re-constructing it.

My project came with instructions. Just not enough danged glue.

Why is it so hard to get high quality items with instructions AND all the necessary parts? It took us almost 8 weeks to put together our kitchen table because the holes didn't line up on the base. 5 billion phone calls later and a replacement part with correctly pre-drilled holes finally came in the mail.

I was asking for the ladies.....

You know how they get when they get older. cheesecake for all of them.....
I'll take mine original New York style, please!

Ut, Oh, Tick! You have made all us "older ladies" (yea, we let you get away with that one, barely) happy by offering us cheesecake. That may have backfired on you, though. We may get snarky if we don't get it. Maybe you should mail out some CheeseCake Factory (do y'all have those where you are?) gift cards, just to be safe.
