I have flocks in the center of town (100K population) and keep my breeders on prairie 10 miles north of town. I suffer from predation by hawks FAR more in town than out at the farm. I have just as many raccoons, possums, and owls at home as out there, but only one coyote has been seen in this area in the last few years. Lots of foxes in town, too. I'm 6 blocks from a big university and could hit my neighbors houses with a well-aimed cotton ball, they're so close...be very careful, because the predators are probably in your suburban area, too!

You need some wolf or bear pee, missy!

We have ferrets and minks here, as well as the occasional badger...it's like a list of who's who in the PITA predators.
Absolutely not... we're the odd couple. In winter when we go to bed I'm in sweatpants, huge woolen socks (with my sweatpants tucked into them), a shirt, hoodie with hood up and gloves... and he's uhm... *cough*
The sad part is, he's still warmer than I am. He's convinced I'm part reptile.
Sounds exactly like home. I have the dual control mattress pad, too- and he lost his side's cord a couple of years ago!!
and forget the grahm cracker. Hershey bar, burnt marshmallow, hershey bar![]()
Mmmmmmmmmm. But I'd use Madecasse chocolate. That would be sinfully good.
The Aussie in the room wanders off to Google to look up 'Smores'![]()
We have a few Aussies on here! You keep introducing us to scrumptious treats and we'll be the Rotund-O Folks Home!!! I'm going to go look at World Market for those things...
I've decided to cut way back on my flocks. My human chicks need me more now, and I am having trouble keeping up with the farm already...and it's not even hot out yet. Hauling water and whatnot will be the end of me if I don't reduce. I'm going to sell at least 200 birds...oy.
