Beware the popcorn fart!

no real rain here for a month and none forecasted so it is drier than a popcorn fart
Where I live in California, We will not have rain until next October. That is completely normal here so we have to rely on irrigation.

It also gets as hot as a fire cracker here....

If I didn't already know I was ... Indulgent - NOT addicted, no not that! - to chickens, I know it now.

I have learned to watch TV around Beth, where she roosts on the table directly in front of the screen each night.

I'd like to see that.

Be careful what you wish for...we're having some much-needed precipitation here, but it's brutally muddy, and it's COLD. It snowed yesterday and tried again this evening.

SNOW!! It's usually in the 80's now, on & off, which I'm NOT ready for, mind you. It was in the 80's a couple of days ago, in fact. There isn't any record of this danged weather in the recorded history, and it's great to have moisture, but SNOW?!?!?

Anyway, I'll be planting my veggies a THIRD time soon. That's what caused this, btw. I bought awesome seeds from Baker Creek Heirloom & started them, then put them in the ground right on our Frost-Free date. I never follow rules, and I'm being punished for performing contrary to my programming.

Our Snow pack here is only 17% of normal. We are in for a bad year for Farmers since we have to irrigate here--literally no rain until October now. They are also predicting a very bad fire season. There is a huge fire in LA now and another up North the Tehama County.(by the way, those two fires are close to 650 miles apart).
