As I was checking eggs under the broodies I hear peep-peep while holding a handful off marans eggs. Yippe. I felt more carefully and none have hatched yet. THe duck hen is not happy that I took all her rotting eggs, and she is trying to sit on another nest. SHe needs to GIVE UP ! SHe is likely to move in with the broody with the cheeping marans eggs. Fortunately the nest box is huge and can fit 2-3 broodies.

I'm about ready to turn off the incubators BUT my OE are just about ready to collect!!

Yes I do

I have OEs in with a Wellie roo for darker color. Just took my AM girls out, so I don't get a whole lot now. My AMs are in with one of my Silkied AM roos. I also had some auctions up that didn't sell on the 25hr auction thread, so there's a few of those breeds too. I was going to go a head and set them, but when I went to check the Sportsman I had FBCMs hatching and left it alone. Oh and if you go to the California Whole State thread there's a link on the first post to our pages. I have a list of all my breeds on there.


Meant to say took the AMs out of the Marans pen.
